I'm not really a smoker, the problem is that I
always want to join the club when I'm in smoke
company, so one could say I'm a Chummy
Smokers Type :-)
I also need to smoke when I have to think over
something; you can see me 'thinking' in the first shot.
What about the bottom image, there's little change
I took that photo; I remember I got a small plastic
camera from my uncle for my birthday, but i'm
afraid this photo is far to sharp for a plastic toy.
Anyway, you can see my father in the bottom left
corner, the older man is my grandpa, the boy in red
is my uncle F. and the one in the right corner my
uncle R.; I wonder where their cigarettes are, for
they were real chain smokers.
My dad used to smoke 'St. Michel green', that is without
filter, my uncle F. 'Zemir', uncle R. smoked 'red Bastos'.
I can't remember my grandpa's brand of chewing tobacco.
The photo is probably taken round 1974,
Love the seventies, have you noticed our orange

My favourite plan for the day sounds a bit boring,
but I like routine, it is a question of finding
back the right balance:
I get up late,
look after the plants,
have dinner with a friend or watch a movie.
Today I had dinner with a friend :-), went to see the young
goats in the park and finished two cushions that I started last winter.
The cute plant is a 'touch-me-not', 'kruidje-roer-mij-niet'
in Dutch; when touching its leaves or when it is getting dark,
they close immediately.
I took a photo this morning (first) and one an hour ago (bottom).
Have a look at its 'seismonastic movements' here :-)
I'm gonna close my leaves too now, Good Night!

I did some 'table gardening' the other day, dreaming
about my future garden (about six square metre terrace:-)
I'm planning to grow herbs and ruccola and tomatos
and spinach etc... and flowers of course.
I also bought a nice book about gardening.
The carnivorous on the first photo is producing new traps,
they look pretty alien and remind me a bit on the cordiceps fungus,
infecting an ant.
That's me on the second pic, changing the water for my guppies.

Some more linen samples in plain weave; I sorted
out the striped ones for this post.
The crocheted detail is a cushion.
Traditional Stripes & Lattices, Kamon Yoshimoto;
from the same series as Traditional Japanese Small Motif.
I will show more photos in another post.
Have a nice weekend everybody :-)

I'm waiting for the first insect that will pop in my room :-)
The first and bottom are fly-designs I once made
for a reason I can't remember; the other pattern comes
from the interior of an old cardboard suitcase.
It was warm today.
Sweet dreams :-)
( by the way, does anybody know that silly joke
'spring is in the air'? )

I made some changes in my room to create more space;
the table is now where the bed was and visa versa.
I would be very pleased if i could find a larger and more
convenient appartment before the end of the summer.
Until now i sleep and work in the same room, so if one
could live from dust alone, I probably don't have to eat
anymore for the rest of my life :-)
The Minä Perhonen exhibition from last week really
revived my love for textile design and weaving.
That's why I was reorganizing boxes and looking at textiles today.
The circle design was made by a friend, painted on silk
by me afterwards.
The bottom pic is a silk top in the making, hope I will
finally finish it this year :-)
what about the appartment, any tip is welcome :-)
